Whispering Ponies Ranch Hosts 2018 Sponsors Appreciation Banquet, Lays Out Future

Founder of Royal Family Kids Camps, Wayne Tesh addresses Whispering Ponies Ranch sponsors and thanks them for helping SkyWatch TV and WPR build facilities to save endangered kids

Crane, MO – The official charity of SkyWatch TV—Whispering Ponies Ranch (WPR)—showed its gratitude to ministry partners and supporters this month with a private tour of the facilities and special banquet featuring a keynote address from the Royal Family Kids Camps (RFKC) founder, Wayne Tesh.

The evening marked the second annual WPR Pony Sponsors Appreciation Banquet.

Guests were honored with a limited-edition Defender Bible and other gifts; they were also shown a video and slide presentation detailing the numerous improvements and facilities of which their donations helped create.

The WPR staff provided a beautiful, four-course meal for the sponsors, whose annual donations support care and maintenance for therapy horses, as well as construction and specialized camps for abused, neglected, and sex-trafficked kids.

“It’s helping the most needy of children in their recovery,” explained Nita Horn, CEO of the ranch. “Nearly 80-percent of men and women in American prisons come out of foster care, and these sponsors are standing in the gap to help these children make better life decisions, heal, learn to trust again, and stop the cycle of abuse that has marked their lives. Those that ‘Sponsor a WPR Therapy Pony’ with a one-time gift or monthly pledge help make these services available at no cost whatsoever to children and their counselors.”

SkyWatch TV CEO Tom Horn joined the tour and dinner and was pleased to report the goals set for 2017–2018 were exceeded. Last year’s (2017) sponsors had been presented with an aggressive plan to finish critical infrastructure and buildings necessary to launch fully operational Royal Family Kids Camps in 2018. That vision included: overnight lodging facilities; a large dining hall with commercial kitchen; a gymnasium with climbing walls, basketball court, and a volley ball structure; other indoor and outdoor sports and recreation courts; a large indoor swimming pool; and more—all of which were finished on time and within budget.

Current goals for the coming season, 2018–2019, were presented at last week’s dinner also, which include a new mini-golf course, an amphitheater, zip lines, a large tree house, adventure low-course programs, additional VIP rooms at the main lodge, a five-acre lake, and more. These increases will be implemented not only to provide entertainment to the RFKC kids, but as tools that the certified staff will use to assist children in healing, regaining confidence, and in the nurturing of their faith.

As part of this unique and devoted family, the Horns and their staff say “thank you” by inviting sponsors to attend exclusive, annual, honorary events including:

  • FREE SKYWATCH TV CONFERENCE REGISTRATIONNext year’s WPR and SkyWatch TV Conference will relocate back to where it all began—the beautiful Radisson Hotel in Branson, Missouri. As a WPR Pony Sponsor, registration to this groundbreaking convention is free.
  • HONORARY BANQUET“Sponsor a Pony” benefactors are invited to attend a special banquet during the 2019 conference, during which a report will be delivered showing just how donations were used during the year to help those children and adults that need it most. During this invitation-only dinner, there is also a private meet-and-greet with some of the top speakers at the conference.
  • GUIDED TOUR OF WPRDuring the Branson conference, an open house will be held at WPR where a restricted tour of the facilities will be available exclusively to Pony Sponsors.

While much has been accomplished at SkyWatch TV and its charity WPR, Nita reports there is still more to do. “We urgently need ongoing help and hope people will sponsor a pony annually…or give even more, but any gift will help provide these little ones a new smile and a new life.”

Nita points out that Psalm 68:5 tells us that God is “a father to the fatherless and a defender of widows,” and Matthew 25: 31–40 and James 1:27 define “pure religion and undefiled before God” as ministering to these precious ones.

Will you join the sponsors family mentioned above by making a donation of $1,000 (or $83 per month) to help provide a life-changing experience for a child who’s waiting now? If you cannot afford to sponsor a pony, any donation will help with the mission of saving these souls one child at a time! That’s a life changed, entirely because of you. The Horns and WPR staff will thank you personally for partnering with them to help fulfill the Lord’s commission to redeem the lives of hurting children and adults, for whom God gave His only Son!
