THE MESSENGER—PART 3: From Revelation to Revelation

As mentioned in the first two parts of this series, it was 2 o’clock a.m. when suddenly I sat straight up in bed. A moment earlier, during what was perhaps REM sleep (that mysterious mechanism created by God called “rapid eye movement”) when most dreams or “night visions” occur, glimpses of Wormwood impacting earth and the aftermath following it had startled my subconscious mind, shaking me from slumber.

I had been wrestling inside that spectacular vision moments before, trying to make sense of what was happening around me and what I was watching play out around the world. But not until I awoke did I hear the word “Apophis” whispered across the room, and something deeper—indistinguishable—troubled me. It was as if the ominous voice had only paused to follow later with more revelations from the beyond.

Of course, I was very familiar with transcendent subject matter. I had been involved with religious institutions for more than thirty years in official capacities, including as an executive in the largest evangelical organization in the world. During that same time, I had appeared on international television and radio programs with the opportunity to expand my presence to a regular audience, if desired.

Yet it wasn’t until a brief stint working with exorcisms that I had come face to face with authentic supernaturalism, and had finally begun questioning the differences between indoctrination and revelation, knowledge and wisdom, religion and relationship, or good and evil. It was here at last that my arrogant disposition, which had served my significant ego like a triumphant battle horse for decades, fell weak. The sword of a superb memory that had allowed me to chop down others with proof texts and so-called writs of fact had at once become as empty as the tomb of Jesus Christ.

I wouldn’t know until later how necessary that rebirth and change of heart and mind had been. Some of the very people I had mocked as “conspiratorial” had turned out to be closer to understanding enigmatic truths than I had ever been. Naiveté and blind acceptance—especially of specific, controlled versions of how the end of the world would play out—had kept me in the dark, blinded from the actual course that a frightening network of hidden, Antichrist-seeking powers (what elsewhere I have called Shadowland) had set our nation and world upon years before.

Then came The Wormwood Prophecy, and pieces of the puzzle began rapidly falling into place. Things were making sense now—Jewish feasts; changes to US domestic and foreign policies; a renewed focus on the Middle East, Jerusalem, Iran, China, and Russia; and even the coronavirus pandemic—and I found it astonishing. The words, deeds, gestures, and coded language of the world’s most powerful men clearly pointed to an ancient, prophetic, cryptic, and even terrifying reality.

As outlined in the ominous new book The Messenger (get it with the biggest giveaway of 2020), the complete truths behind these facts and what soon followed the first version of the Wormwood book explode with heightened meaning as the reader learns how I became aware of mysterious hidden truths bursting with portentous prophetic significance. What had been concealed in plain sight would suddenly and unexpectedly be exposed live in studio—and right as we were recording the first SkyWatch TV broadcast programs (which aired November–December 2019) regarding my Wormwood ekstasis vision and supernatural encounter.

If you follow the link in the endnotes (here[i]) and watch the second program in that series, you’ll see something interesting transpire between the 13–17 minute marks, when I was describing how evangelical dispensationalists (and some Catholic prophecy believers) might find the timing of the Apophis-Wormwood impact date (April 13, 2029) remarkable regarding a possible “Rapture” of the Church as being soon to occur. (The Rapture is  the eschatological, or end-times, event when all true Christians who are alive will be transformed into glorious bodies in an instant and joined by the resurrection of dead believers who ascend with them into heaven). During that program recording, as I was making the case that, depending on one’s position, the asteroid’s impact date as first set by NASA could place the possible timing of a pre-Tribulation Rapture happening around October 13, 2025, and/or a pre-wrath date as no later than April, 2029, you can see SkyWatch TV’s host Derek Gilbert studying something on his MacBook. Unknown to me, while I was talking, he was searching a Hebrew calendar and checking whether anything interesting would be happening three and a half years before the date I was talking about involving when Apophis will strike earth. He was doing that because prophecy scholars say Wormwood will fall to earth in the middle of the seven-year Great Tribulation period, thus pre-Tribulation Rapture believers place the rapturous “catching away” of the saints three and a half years before then.

What Derek discovered raised the hair on our necks.

His eyes had fallen on a prominent timeline. Exactly three and a half years before the original date set by NASA for Apophis to come crashing down on this planet, the high holy days of the Feast of Tabernacles will be unfolding on earth. Just a few days before that will be the Feast of Trumpets. Both festivals are strongly tied by eschatologists to the Rapture and/or Second Coming of Jesus.

When Derek pointed that out during the show, you could have knocked me over with a feather, as they say. How had I not known this before sending The Wormwood Prophecy to the printer?

Even then, things were about to get profusely more enlightening.

We had but scratched the surface of a much larger revelation tying Apophis-Wormwood with prophecy, Jewish feasts, and the ancient idea that asteroids and comets are “messengers” of the gods and omens of important coming events (for example when the Magi in Matthew 2:2 see the “star” [Greek aster, from which the English word asteroid is derived], they interpreted it as a “messenger” that the “King of the Jews” was born; they had seen “his star (aster) in the east, and were come to worship him” (Mt.2: 1-2). Similarly, the Apophis-Wormwood-Feasts connection could imply that a countdown clock is ticking down again—a countdown that the world and the Church are unaware of—and just as an asteroid heralded the first coming of Christ, I believe Apophis is set to herald the second coming of Jesus and may even be connected to Mt. 24:30, which states: “The world will mourn when they see the sign of the son of man coming in the heavens.”

“THE MESSENGER” INVESTIGATION STARTS THURSDAY!

In The Messenger, based on these revelations, I argue that mankind has likely entered the last decade of history as it has been known—what prophecy teachers call the Church Age—and how the several unusual things you will read therein set this book apart from all other works on prophecy. In the current SkyWatch TV investigative series of the same name, you will also learn that even the Essenes of Dead Sea Scrolls fame predicted over 2000 years ago that mankind would enter its final age (Jubilee cycle) in 2025, 3.5 years before Apophis.

I discuss these timelines, feast days and forgotten prophecies connected to the very near future in The Messenger, and why I believe they strongly suggest you need to prepare your family and friends as soon as possible for the end of the age.

I even believe this enigmatic “countdown clock” is linked with the parable of the fig tree. Let me explain.

Israel and the Budding of the Fig Tree

The parable of the fig tree appears in three New Testament Gospel locations (Matthew 24:32–35; Mark 13:28–31; and Luke 21:29–33):

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. (KJV; bold emphasis added)

The word “it” in Matthew 24:33 has been rendered also “he” or “the Kingdom of God.” This passage, along with those that refer to the Holy Land and God’s chosen people together, make up the base Scriptures of what has become known as the fig tree prophecy.

On the Mount of Olives, the disciples asked Jesus Christ about the end of the world (or “end of the age”):

And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? (Matthew 24:3)

After speaking for a moment about His Second Coming and the threat of the Antichrist, Christ tells His listeners that the first sign of the end of the age would be when the fig tree “putteth forth leaves” (or “buds”). Because the fig is the last of the trees to flourish in the springtime, when it buds, it is an indication that “summer is nigh” (or “imminent”).

Note that in Hosea 9:10a, Israel is referred to as a fig tree: “I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time” (emphasis added). Joel 1:6–7a makes the same comparison: “For a nation is come up upon my land, strong, and without number, whose teeth are the teeth of a lion, and he hath the cheek teeth of a great lion. He hath laid my vine waste, and barked my fig tree” (emphasis added). In addition to these references, nations have historically been typified by symbols and/or emblems (America: eagle; Russia: bear; Canada: beaver and maple leaf; Britain: lion; and so on), and for Israel, the emblem is a fig tree.

Jesus also spoke the following:

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” He spake also this parable; “A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.” (Luke 13:5–9)

In Isaiah 5:7a, the “vineyard” is the property of God and the “house of Israel” (“For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel”; italics original). At the time Christ spoke the parable above in Luke 13:5–9, He was three years into His public ministry. God’s people (the vineyard) needed to “repent” or they would “likewise perish.” Also note that Christ explicitly referred to the vineyard owner as “Lord” (“Lord, let it alone this year also”). So, in the parable, the “certain man” who owned the vineyard (God; “Lord”) approached the “dresser” (Christ), and told him that for “three years” (the length of Christ’s public ministry up to that point), the vineyard owner had tried to find fruit from this fig tree (Israel). Because the tree would not produce fruit, the vineyard owner ordered the dresser to cut it down. (Translation: God told Jesus to cut Israel down.) But the dresser requested that the vineyard owner give the fig tree one more season of growth, during which the dresser would “dig about it” (make the ground around it healthy) and “dung it” (fertilize it). (Translation: Jesus requested more time to bring the nation of Israel to repentance.) If further efforts to see the fig tree produce fruit did not deliver, then the vineyard owner would cut it down.

Then, in AD 70, Israel was cut down by the Romans in the Siege of Jerusalem. In Ezekiel, it is prophesied:

But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches [bud], and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come. For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown [made healthy again]: And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded: And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the Lord. Yea, I will cause men to walk upon you, even my people Israel; and they shall possess thee, and thou shalt be their inheritance, and thou shalt no more henceforth bereave them of men. (Ezekiel 36:8–12)

And in Amos, we are told of a replanting:

And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord thy God. (Amos 9:14–15; emphasis added)

Then, in 1948, Israel was replanted…

We now arrive at an important conclusion: If Christ said the “end of days” was “even at the doors” when the fig tree “putteth forth leaves,” and that “this generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled,” then the establishment of Israel as a nation in 1948 most likely marks the last generation before the end of days.

This is the core of the fig tree prophecy.

Furthermore, because Jesus prophesied that “this generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled,” and a prophetic generation is at most eighty years, based on Psalm 90:10, some scholars believe a period of not more than that much time will elapse between the reformation of Israel as a nation and the return of Jesus Christ. When eighty years are added to May 14, 1948—the date Israel was formally recognized as an independent nation by the United Nations[ii]—it brings us through April 13, 2029—at exactly eighty years, ten months, and thirty days later.

Of course, a Rapture or Second Coming could happen at any time, but these numbers are highly suggestive when also compared to the prophecy-infused Jewish feasts connected with the Wormwood Prophecy and the date of the asteroid’s arrival in 2029.

Now, we mentioned earlier that, exactly three and a half years before Apophis-Wormwood is set to smash into this planet, the Feast of Tabernacles will be unfolding on earth following the Feast of Trumpets a few days before.

However, exactly 120 days before the start of the Feast of Tabernacles in 2025 is Pentecost. And the number 120 in the Bible represents “the end of all flesh” (for example, Genesis 6:3 says, “And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.” Moses is another example. He was 120 years old when he died (Deuteronomy 34:7).

And, while I do not know what to make of it, if anything, the mysterious “Tunguska” event where it is thought a meteor exploded near the Podkamennaya Tunguska River in Russia on the morning of June 30, 1908 was also 120 years before the much larger Apophis asteroid is scheduled to similarly impact Earth.

But the number 120 is also tied to the Feast of Pentecost:

And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty), Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled. (Acts 1:15–16)

All this in mind and without “setting dates,” consider the timeline graphic below and ask yourself if this is all just a coincidence? It certainly could be, and time will tell, but I find it worth consideration.

In The Messenger and briefly summarized in the following entries to this series, I will analyze the feasts that will be fulfilled at the Second Coming of Christ as well as the precedent-setting ways Jesus fulfilled the first three of the seven major feasts—Passover, Unleavened Bread, and Firstfruits at His first advent, so we may appreciate the astonishing acts that are soon to be fulfilled, as heralded by The Messenger,
