Former New Age Author Uncovers Deception In “Angel Numbers”

Numbers and patterns are used all throughout scripture by God to speak to us. But what is the Christian doctrine behind using numbers to interpret a prophetic message God may be speaking? The Bible is tied together by events and numbers and it’s clear that God wants us to search out truth and wisdom found in the scriptures. But, now people are searching for a message from God in “angel numbers.” This could be a grocery store receipt that comes out to $111.11 or waking up at 4:44a.m. multiple nights in a row. Many people believe it is angels trying to speak to them. This is different than biblical number symbolism. Angels are real and mentioned 273 times in 34 books in the Bible. Hebrews 1:14 says, “Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to minister to those who will inherit salvation?” This tells you that angels are used by God to help believers. God commands His angels concerning us to guard us in all of our ways. He is the one to send angels on our behalf, we are never supposed to call on them, in fact the Bible explicitly says not to. Doreen Virtue is a born-again Christian saved from New Age practices. After spending 58 years in New Age and Christian Science, even becoming the top-selling New Age author, she now speaks out against the use of angel numbers.
