Few men have influenced this author more than David Flynn. He not only was a man of God, but also was a genius too soon taken from this earth. His research, particularly as it pertains to our discussion going forward, can be found in his pivotal book, Cydonia—The Secret Chronicles of Mars.[1] Although individual references to each of his original thoughts will not be noted, his work is the foundation for much of this entry. He was a good friend, he was a giant thinker, and he is sorely missed.
In his book, David digs into the minutia on the significance of the world’s pyramid’s locations and their relation to the heavens. For the sake of expediency, we will seek to point out only the most obvious of connections.
Mars
The Giza Plateau is known to be a mirror of Orion’s Belt in the heavens. The builders of the Great Pyramid and its smaller companions were well versed in the astronomical positions of the stars and planets.
The Greek word for “pyramid” is puramos, derived from a root word meaning “fiery.” Interestingly, the Greek name of the planet Mars also uses Pur-oeis, a derivative of the name. Also of interest is the suffix, ammos, which means “heap” or “mound.” Therefore, the most accurate translation of the word “pyramid” is “the mound of Mars.”
Absolutely coincidence, right? Read on.
NASA launched four Viking spacecraft in 1976 toward the Red Planet. Their destination was an area called Cydonia. As they flew by, the Viking orbiter’s cameras revealed a large hill resembling a human face 1.5 miles long, 1,500 feet high, and 1.2 miles wide. NASA downplayed it as a “trick of light”—that is, until the feature was again imaged, this time with a different sun angle, thirty-five days later. Researchers now say that this was an artificially constructed building intended to symbolize a face staring up from the surface of Mars, thereby intimating the likelihood that other anomalies on Mars were artificially constructed. These include “pyramidal” objects in images to the west of the face, as well as a five-hundred-foot mound constructed with a peripheral groove or ditch and spiral pathway.
Richard C. Hoagland contends that these structures are artificial. This author finds it hard to disagree, especially when the totality of the evidence in Cydonia is taken into consideration.
Flynn himself stated:
Of all the evocative symbols one could expect to find made by a seemingly “alien” race, to find a Giza-like pyramid and a Giza-like sphinx on Mars is most baffling.[2]
Considering his extensive work, such a statement shows a sense of awe at what has been uncovered. But it gets even stranger.
If you will recall, the Great Pyramid is oriented to the cardinal points on the compass and is accurately aligned with true north. The complex in Cydonia was at one time aligned with the equator of that planet, upright to the north. However, it currently rests at 41 degrees and is tilted by 22 degrees. Such a significant change in its relation to the Martian equator could only mean that at some point in the planet’s past, a catastrophic shifting of Mars’ polar regions occurred. Evidence remains on the surface that this rotation of Mars proved to be the Red Planet’s death. Before the rotation, it seems that the Mars face was looking toward earth in some intergalactic communication. Why?
To further add to the deepening mystery, a closer examination of the “sphinx-face” in the southwest corner reveals a five-sided pentagonal pyramid! So huge is this structure that it is estimated to be a mile and a half wide and seven times larger than the Great Pyramid!

An Arm That Is Not Too Short
Hollywood has produced many movies about Mars over the recent years. More often than not, the stories offer sensationalism without real facts.
If it is true that a picture is worth a thousand words, how many words is a Viking orbiter picture that clearly shows a face on Mars with a pyramid that, when researched, is a kissing cousin to the Great Pyramid in Cairo, Egypt?
More to the point, whatever killed Mars and her inhabitants was instant, violent, and absolute. If in fact, as we have promoted, fallen angels jumped off-planet to make a home on Mars, could this sudden catastrophe have been judgment as dealt out by the Creator whose arm is not too short?
Likewise, has there been judgment elsewhere, either within our solar system or beyond? Is there evidence of such a judgment that would have certainly looked astro-cataclysmic?
Specifically, will these cataclysms return? What will they mean to earth?
More Connections
Other aspects of the Cydonia complex have been mirrored on earth, such as the Avebury Circle henge, the largest in Britain. The Avebury Circle is an earthwork ditch a quarter of a mile in diameter that was supposedly constructed in 2600 B.C. It had an obelisk in the center that is no longer there, and is the only circle with a town inside it. In 1991, researcher David Percy discovered by superimposing a scaled map of the area over Cydonia’s eastern region that the henge was an exact match to the Martian one. David Flynn had this to say about it:
There are many examples of ancient mound structures found all around the earth. The most common of them are designed exactly like an anomalous feature found in the images taken of a region on the planet Mars called Cydonia. A seemingly artificial structure that has been designated “the Tholus” of Cydonia appears to be built to the exact instructions God gave to Moses while on Mount Sinai. The intelligent beings who constructed the Tholus mound on Mars were familiar with God’s “building code” that would be set down in the Bible, indicating that their identity could also most likely be found in the Bible. The giant mound on Mars is made of the soil of the planet, and the appearance of a ditch surrounding it provides a symbolic container for the waters of the sky.[3]
If Flynn’s analysis of the evidence is correct, how exactly would Martians know what “God’s building code” was? Answer: Because they were fallen angels who used technology to jump off-planet. In their establishment of a community on Mars, they leaned on experience and knowledge that they gained in their “first estate.” That habitation was familiar to them, and it was the easiest to duplicate.
As astonishing as these findings are, the totality of David Flynn’s work is even more compelling and his book is highly recommended. Yet it is only offered in this context as evidence of the larger propositioned truth: that fallen angels, the Nephilim, were on the earth in a pre-Adamic age and built many of the monuments and technology discussed in this chapter. That technology included, but was not limited to, stargates that they used to “gate off” earth into other parts of the solar system and universe.
Further, it is this author’s contention that according to the Book of Enoch, the Watchers had preknowledge of pending judgment and left earth before their destruction was imposed. Their goal was to influence the Most High’s creation, man, in the millennia to come, and they could only do so if they managed to escape the judgment of the Flood.
Evidence of Judgment in the Solar System
Did the fallen angels know of the impending judgment? There is evidence in Enoch to support this idea. More to the point, their sojourns to other parts of the solar system were moved by more than just fear, as Obadiah 1:4 points out:
Though thou exalt thyself as the eagle, and though thou set thy nest among the stars, thence will I bring thee down, saith the Lord.
Geologists say that the Late Heavy Bombardment Period occurred around four billion years ago. During this event, the solar system was pummeled with enormous meteorites over a period of time. Earth, Mercury, Venus, and Mars were likely the survivors most heavily pounded by the crossfire.
This is the period of time when the moon, earth, and other planets developed stress fractures that shifted upward, creating ridges in their surfaces that appear to be cliffs or mountains ranges.
Concurrently, the earth’s previously vertical axis shifted. Uranus was whacked onto its side during the event, and Venus’ orbit was completely reversed. Planetary debris clustered into bands and scattered throughout our solar system, forming trajectories of water, dust, and debris, which we now call “comets.” It is even surmised that Caribbean Sea is an impact crater from this event.
As previously stated, Mars shows evidence of the existence of water at one time, a denser atmosphere, and a climate that could have supported vegetation. But when the barrage of meteors (sometimes in chunks the size of Manhattan or larger) appears to have rained down upon Mars, its atmosphere was destroyed and the violence created those previously mentioned stress ridges. From various spacecraft image captures, these ridges look like tall bluffs on the surface across the planet. And what about the life that had once inhabited the planet? That life would have certainly been wiped out as a result of this bombardment—or it might have departed for another planetoid.
Neptune’s orbits show evidence of disarrangement both in its own orbit and its lunar patterns, as do Pluto’s. Several planets picked up rings from the scattered debris, and Saturn formed loops that picked up so much fragmentation that they now measure ten miles thick and 41,500 miles wide.
Roche’s Limit is a scientific theory created in 1848 by Edouard Roche, explaining that each planetary body or satellite is held together by its own gravity. As it approaches another body or satellite, there are limitations to how closely the two are able to safely pass each other before the forces of the larger body cause the smaller body to be torn apart. The theory could explain how this exchange of forces caused nearby planets to pick up that rubble, ich is now contained and viewed in the rings of Saturn, and in the thinner rings on Jupiter, Uranus, and Neptune.
Jean Tate of Universe Today said of Roche’s Limit:
The best known application of Roche’s theoretical work is on the formation of planetary rings: an asteroid or comet which strays within the Roche limit of a planet will disintegrate, and after a few orbits the debris will form a nice ring around the planet.[4]

Action and Reaction
Like the Father that He is, God showed patience when dealing with His angelic creation for thousands, and perhaps even millions, of years. Spurred on by Lucifer and in full revolt, those beings, which the Creator loved, had gone too far. Just as Solomon said that there is nothing new under the sun, we see in Genesis how God’s creation of old, the angels, had sexual relations with His new female creation, woman, and set about corrupting everything that He was trying to do with a renewed planet earth. And just as happened in Genesis with the deluge, we see God take drastic action against this pre-Adamic angelic civilization. But what choice did the Father have? No doubt, like He so often does with us, He warned them about the path they were on. And like mankind does from time to time, those angels chose to ignore His warnings.
Although they may have arrogantly thought that their technology would save them, their angelic intelligence was no match for a God that lives outside of time and space. As you will see in the next chapter, His judgment against these angelic civilizations was swift, just, and severe.
Today we see remnants of that judgment, both on this world and other worlds in our solar system—if we only know where to look.
Although the following quote out of Hebrews 10:30–32 is speaking about human believers, it is perhaps the most fitting description when it comes to the Lord Most High dealing with a rebellious creation:
For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions; Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.
It is indeed a “fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God,” especially if you were an illuminated angel who knew Him, worshipped Him, and then betrayed Him.
In the Beginning…
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. (Genesis 1:1–2)
Take a moment to consider what George H. Pember says about this passage, as it is pertinent to the next part of our study:
According to our version, “the earth was without form, and void.” This, however, is not the sense of the Hebrew, but a glaring illustration of the influence of the chaos-legend. Fuerst gives “ruin,” or “desolation,” [tohu] as the proper meaning of the noun rendered “without form [bohu].” The second word signifies “emptiness,” then, “that which is empty”; so that in this case the authorized translation is admissible. Now these words are found together only in two other passages, in both of which they are clearly used to express the ruin caused by an outpouring of the wrath of God.[v]
He goes on to explain that the word “was” in this case is similar to the word “became,” which means that the Scripture could actually read:
And the earth became desolate (ruin) and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep.
Next Pember says,
It is thus clear that the second verse of Genesis describes the earth as a ruin; but there is no hint of the time which elapsed between creation and this ruin.[vi]
