SkyWatchTV and Defender Publishing are proud to sponsor the “Tell Your Story” writing contest that begins on April 19th, with the release of Nita Horn’s new memoir, “No Fences.”
BEGINNING on April 19th, you can purchase your copy of Nita Horn’s new book and receive 2 GIFTS FREE OF CHARGE! First, your very own plastic pony! (What’s that about? You’ll learn the answer to that mystery in “No Fences”) In addition to the pony, we will also send you a beautiful journal for recording your own story. And it gets better, because ALL proceeds from “No Fences” books sold from our SkyWatch TV store will go toward building and equipping our new SkyWatch Women’s television set, so the more books sold, the faster we can build it!
But there’s more! The ‘No Fences’ writing contest is your chance to use that beautiful journal to write YOUR story. Starting May 1, 2016, we will accept writing submissions (NOTE: Any story received before May 1st may be disqualified; see full official contest and entry rules below). We eagerly look forward to receiving your short story of 2500 words or less (between 10-15 pages).
DEFENDER PUBLISHING WILL THEN SELECT AND PUBLISH 10 STORIES / JOURNALS / MEMOIRS AND PUBLISH THEM IN AN ANTHOLOGY COLLECTION TO BE RELEASED JUST IN TIME FOR THE CHRISTMAS SEASON AND WE WILL FEATURE THOSE WORKS ON SKYWATCH TV! SAMPLES OF THE TYPES OF STORIES WE HOPE TO RECEIVE ARE:
- Those who never thought they had anything BIG about their lives yet why it does matter to them and those around them.
- OR… they never let go of their dreams and God brought them to fruition.
- OR… they overcame challenging issues (health, war, family, accident etc) to triumph.
- OR… somebody in their family—a grandfather or mother, mom, dad, child, spouse—is no longer here but had an incredible story of valor, servitude, whatever should be told!
So… Get Ready, Set, GO starting April 19th!
AND NOW FOR ALL THE REQUIRED LEGALESE!
