A woman stands over Hollywood actress Megan Duffy chanting and shaking a rattle carved with a head inspired by shamanic art, as her client lies motionless on a narrow bed. The tension in the air is thick as the ‘healer’ places an ornate dagger on Duffy’s wrist and, breathing deep, rapid breathes, summons ‘higher beings’ from the spirit world, asking them to rid her body of evil demons. The woman carrying out the ‘working’ is Rachel Stavis – the world’s only non-denominational Exorcist. And in a television first DailyMailTV was invited to witness Stavis carry out a real-life Hollywood exorcism. We watched as Stavis worked on actress Duffy – best known for starring alongside Elijah Wood in 2012 horror movie Maniac – ridding her of an evil ‘entity’ that she believes has attached itself to her. Psychiatrist Describes ‘Creepiest’ Exorcism Witnessed When Possessed Woman Levitated Over Bed

A prominent psychiatrist with decades of exorcism experience has shared details behind the “creepiest” case of demon possession he witnessed, in which a woman displayed unnatural strength and levitated from her bed. Dr. Richard Gallagher, a board-certified psychiatrist who teaches at Columbia University and New York Medical College, said in an article published Tuesday in the National Catholic Register that in his 25 years as a consultant for a network of exorcists in America, the case of a woman named “Julia” remains the most disturbing. Gallagher said that most reports of possession turn out not to be the case of actual demonic work, and that out of thousands of consultations he has done, he found that only about 100 were actual possessions. Thirty-nine-year-old Julia, however, referred to herself as “the high priestess of a satanic cult,” and dressed in dark flowing clothing and black eye shadow. (READ MORE)

A group of secular students at Harvard Divinity school, feeling spiritually hungry and deprived of moral instruction, are turning to the “Harry Potter” series as a Bible. Their new podcast called “Harry Potter and the Sacred Text,” is described by the Washington Post as “a weekly church-like service for the secular” which seeks to draw morality and meaning from the story of the boy wizard with the lighting-bolt scar. It’s now one of the most downloaded podcasts on iTunes, and its hosts are touring the country, drawing droves of eager young converts. One student told the Post after listening, “I feel like I’m born again.” Secularism, according to the hosts, doesn’t “speak to [their peers’] hearts and souls.” Apparently, imaginary magic does. But during the Protestant Reformation, since most Protestants believed that souls went immediately to heaven or hell, paranormal activity was thought to be the work of angels, demons or other decidedly nonhuman supernatural beings. While most Protestant sects today are largely silent about the existence of ghosts, Catholic theology remains amenable to the existence of ghosts. Catholics typically believe that God may permit dead individuals to visit their counterparts on Earth, but the church has traditionally condemned occult activities such as seances and Ouija boards. Former Satan Worshipper: I’m Shocked Christians Celebrate Halloween

As devil worshippers, Halloween was very special to us, and we looked forward to celebrating it because we knew the implications and the dark power behind the night. It is very different from every other night in the witchcraft world. It would be like me saying to believers today, “How important to you are Good Friday and Resurrection Sunday?” Halloween has that much weight and importance to those who dwell on the dark side. I remember the days leading up to Halloween, we devil worshippers had our instructions from the demon world about what had to be done, and we knew it was going to be a long night. I would sleep all day to be rested up and ready for midnight so I could unleash hell on the world into the wee hours of the morning. Some churches remove the word “Halloween” and call it “harvest” instead, with members dressing up in costumes, giving out candy and bobbing for apples. It saddens my heart. (READ MORE)
